I’m turning 26 on the 23rd and losing my health insurance. To celebrate my freedom from doctors and dentists, I invite you to three shows this weekend:
Tonight, 2/22, is “HELL WAS MY FATHER’S NAME!” There, I will open for the very funny improv team, “Hell Jr.” The show is at Young Ethels in Brooklyn at 7 pm. Just show up, and don’t be late.
Friday, 2/23, I turn 26 and get kicked off of my parent’s insurance. I will try not to get hurt.
Saturday, 2/24, I will wear a helmet to perform in the Final Round of NYC’s Queer Comedy Festival. This was the first festival I was booked on since I started doing stand-up last year, and I’m stoked to be in the finals. Tickets cost money, but my last name saves you 5 big ones. 5:30 PM, Broadway Comedy Club. Tickets!
Sunday, 2/25, I co-produce and host a comedy-variety show for the staff at the dog cafe Boris & Horton (disclosure: I am on their staff). The store is about to shut down, maybe for good– I thought I had cleaned my last puddle of dog-pee, but they might raise enough cash to stay open. I hope I get to clean more pee?
Anyways, it’s a comedy-variety show at 7 pm on Sunday. One of my co-workers will be doing burlesque, so don’t bring your children if they aren’t feminists. Tickets here.
I love you!
Annabeth
